Introduction: Building Hope Through Education and Care The Yasmin Foundation was established by Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (Americo) and his family in 2010. Named in memory of his late daughter Yasmin, who tragically lost her life in a violent robbery in 1992, the foundation aims to honor her legacy by improving the lives of Somali citizens. Operating from Mogadishu, the Yasmin Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing education, healthcare, and environmental protection in Somalia, with the goal of fostering a self-sufficient, healthy, and innovative population. Our Mission: The Yasmin Foundation is committed to enhancing the quality of life for Somali communities by providing free education, healthcare, access to clean water, and environmental protection education. The foundation seeks to create a brighter future for Somalia’s youth and empower its citizens. Our Vision: Children in Somalia will have the opportunity to access free education and healthcare, along with clean water and a safe, sustainable environment.
