Yates Development

Yates Development and founder Chris Yates, based in Birmingham, Alabama, have been active in commercial real estate and development since the mid 1990’s. Yates wide and varied experience has enabled his becoming a lead Preferred Developer for many major national retailers, Advance Auto Parts and CVS Caremark specifically. In recent years Yates has been active developing new sites for the CVS/ Caremark Corporation with some forty projects completed in Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky and Texas. Yates exceeded some $200 million in development costs, with an average deal size between $6-8 million. Yates averaged developing 10 CVS sites a year, without the assistance of current partners. Yates has developed over 100 Advance Auto Parts stores in FL, MS, AL, TN, MO, IO, IL, MN, and WI. The total investment outlay by Yates was $400M in development costs, and $10M of equity. Yates averaged 10 sites a year and was responsible for 10% of all AAP company stores development for a 10 year period. Yates Development is currently working as a Preferred Developer for healthcare giant Cano Health. Cano Health is the fastest growing primary care company, in the United States, for the last two years and has grown at a rate of 7,000% over the last three years. Yates Development is overseeing multiple ground up and custom renovation sites all across the Southwest United States.
