Yedid L'Boded

Yedid L'Boded helps Jewish soldiers embrace their Judaism. Yedid L'Boded (YLB) gives IDF Lone Soldiers the warmth, good food, comfortable rest and family that they are missing from home during their service in Israel. Founded and run by Rabbi Yoni and Ariella Denitz in 2022, Yedid L'Boded's flagship event is the acclaimed Shabbaton retreat. Immersing in the Shabbaton strengthens a lone soldier's Jewish identity, internal comradery, connection to Shabbat and connection to the worldwide Jewish community that supports them, in an uplifted, non-judgmental setting. Yedid L'Boded has run 15 Shabbat retreats, servicing over 650 Lone Soldiers since inception. It has branched into one-on-one learning, speaking events, BBQ mixers, Chanukah and Purim festivities, pre-marriage classes for participants who became engaged, and more. Our 16th Shabbaton, for women, will take place in June 2025, G-d willing.
