Yellowtrees

Yellowtrees is a collaborative studio of designers, architects, artists, artisans, and entrepreneurs, located in Brooklyn, that designs, builds, makes, and creates. The studio is centered on the Gesamtkunstwerk, or ‘total work of art’, model, which places a premium on the interrelation of all the disciplines to create a more meaningful and harmonious whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. This ethos results in projects that are not only more gratifying to create, but that have a greater richness of expression and increased value when completed. It all happens from Yellowtrees’ 10,000 square-foot space in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The 19th-century pump house now introduces itself with a workshop in front – to celebrate the idea of making – and a gallery/studio space in back to display and celebrate the end results. The studio offers everything at once: architecture, design, development, branding, UX design and even fabrication, anything and everything necessary to fulfill the vision.
