Whether you need CTO level guidance, or simply advise, I am a developer (still write code), entrepreneur, advisor, and executive with 35+ years of experience in startups and fortune 500 companies who specializes in distributed systems, IoT, and Machine Learning. In 2009, I co-founded Predictive Medical Technologies to predict cardiopulmonary arrest in the ICU with a 24-hour likelihood. Later, I founded GOFACTORY, an IoT company acquired by Space Time Insight where I was CTO of IoT, then later Chief Architect of IoT at Nokia after Nokia’s acquisition. After leaving Nokia, I started my third company, Lodestar, developing a pallet tracking device with a 2-year battery life that gave location and health of pallets across the supply chain, unfortunately this company failed to launch. Recently I founded Yeti Consulting which is focused on the Internet of Things and the intersection of Machine Learning and AI, providing a range of services from advising newly formed startups on how to get funded, get their product to market, and build an effective engineering team; to existing companies that are looking to pivot into technology or simply looking to bring a new product to market. I also hold three Board positions, one advisory for Vivera Pharmaceuticals bringing a new medical device to market, as well as a director and advisor for a private company called Third Economy in the ESG space, and a director for a non-profit community-based organization called Equitable Access California (www.eqac.org) that is focused on rural broadband and working to deliver free public Wi-Fi to unincorporated rural towns in Sonoma County.
