YEŞİLYURT, a family company, transitioned from the family profession of trading to industrial production with the establishment of a rolling mill with a capacity of 100,000 tons/year in Karabük in 1980. Continuing its growth in industrial production, YEŞİLYURT established its second rolling facility in Samsun with a capacity of 420,000 tons/year in 1987. In 1997, it opened its steel mill with a capacity of 420,000 tons/year to produce its own billets. In 2022, it expanded its product range by opening the wire rod facility, adding rebar in coils and wire rod products. Aspiring to be among the top levels in global steel production, YEŞİLYURT increased its rolling capacity to 1,450,000 tons/year and its liquid steel capacity to 1,300,000 tons/year with modernization efforts. In its steel mill facility, it produces steel billets ranging from 100x100mm to 200x200mm, rebar in various qualities with sizes between 8-50mm in the rolling mill facility, and various quality products between 5.5-27mm in the wire rod facility. With its port project, the Yeşilyurt Group gained its own port operations in 2006, meeting the Black Sea and the region's port needs with top-level machinery and service standards, facilitating the region’s integration with international markets.
