YIELD Initiatives

Nigerian cotton farmers are in desperate need of better planting seeds. With better seeds, yields will increase, standards of living will increase, and then and only then can sustainability issues be addressed. Our vision begins with a t-shirt, sold in first-world markets, and the money generated purchases state of the art cottonseeds, in a buy one give one plan, where first-world consumers, donate world-class cottonseed genetics to Nigerian cotton farms via the YIELD initiative We believe the world is ready for Nigerian-inspired fashion, and with an eye toward traditional batik designs, we will produce t-shirts with a sustainable story, and we will sell these garments to Individuals around the world that care about raising standards of living for Nigerian farm families. The YIELD initiative stands between subsistence farmers and sustainability. Sustainability will always be second to survival, but once farmers' lives are improved through higher-yielding crops, care of the land follows. Supporting the YIELD initiative will speed the adoption of better practices, and sustainability will follow
