YIS Capital is a private investment firm focused on a broad range of opportunistic investments spanning multiple asset classes. YIS Capital’s investments are anchored by the philosophy that market inefficiencies and related opportunities exist in certain asset classes. To realize this potential YIS seeks to partner with those investment managers or business operators with an identifiable “edge.” Finally, this partnership must include a strong alignment of incentives that minimizes — if not eliminates — the principal/agent conflict. YIS is led by Jeff Greenstein who has been actively investing in alternative investment strategies for over 30 years for his portfolio and on behalf of leading institutional and private clients worldwide. YIS believes there is a tremendous amount of capital available for investments. Accordingly, the best investors can and should be selective in who they elect to receive capital from. YIS Capital has no predefined asset allocation, and instead seeks to build a diversified portfolio of idiosyncratic opportunistic investments. These situations can involve direct investments or allocations to an outside investment manager pursuing a well-defined strategy. YIS’s primary focus is in those areas typically referred to as “Alternative Investments” which includes hedge fund and private capital strategies. Finally, as a private investor YIS analyzes investments based on the after-tax return.
