Since 2017, YM4C has impacted the lives of over 300 youth and their families. YM4C has served over 1,000 people through our community initiatives and bridge building activities.
Nearly 90% of the youth we serve are raised in a single parent home.
Statistics from everydayhealth.com suggest that youth raised in single family homes are TWICE as likely to drop out of high school, indulge in criminal behavior, experiment with drug usage, and become a greater risk for teen pregnancy.
Getting ahead of the problem only comes by way of creative solutions.
Our approach has given a sense of hope, love and joy to numerous youth through educational experiences, physical activity and entrepreneurial pursuits.
Our purpose of sparking creative minds in our youth has been met through multiple collaborations and community partnerships with the Triangle YMCA, WCPSS, MBK of Wake County, Raleigh PD, Cary PD, Knightdale PD, Garner PD, several local barbershops, local eateries Papa Johns, Chic Fi La and multiple small businesses that understand the value of pouring into our youth.
