Ymir Genomics

Ymir Genomics is a biotechnology startup dedicated to finding biomarkers for diagnostics and therapeutics. The company’s main focus is the discovery of easily assayable circulating RNA biomarkers found in biofluids such as blood, saliva, and urine. Ymir has developed a novel proprietary protocol for isolating exosomal RNA and proteins from several biofluids. Its method is two- to 10-times more efficient than current commercial kits and offers a substantial savings on time and cost. Ymir is currently optimizing its exosome isolation protocol towards commercialization. In parallel, the company is using this method and a novel bioinformatics protocol to find urine biomarkers for prostate and bladder cancer.
