Yobe Literary Society

Yobe Literary Society (YLS) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting arts, literature, culture, and social cohesion in Yobe State and beyond. Through festivals, book publications, workshops, and community engagement projects, YLS fosters creativity, celebrates diversity, and empowers youth to embrace civic responsibility. Our flagship initiatives include the annual Yobe Peace and Arts Festival (YOPAFEST), TEDx events, and various literacy and cultural preservation programmes. YLS also champions inclusivity, advocating for vulnerable groups and ensuring that art, culture, and storytelling are accessible to all.
