The York Design Awards aim to encourage and promote excellence in design and conservation, striving for the highest standards which will delight present and future generations.
These prestigious Awards are in their 14th year in 2022 and, are open to all developments within the City of York Council boundary, completed within the last five years. A range of categories are available and it’s free to enter, so we would urge anyone who has been involved in an interesting project to submit an entry. Taking part in the awards is a fantastic way to encourage other developers, builders and property owners to go the extra mile in their future projects.
Categories include:
• Small residential (less than £500,000)
• Large residential development (more than £500,000)
• Small commercial (less than £500,000)
• Large commercial (more than £500,000)
• Small community (less than £500,000)
• Large community (more than £500,000)
• Conservation and/or restoration projects
• Open space/public realm
There will also be awards for:
• Sustainability
• The Lord Mayor’s Award
• The Press People’s Choice Award
• Young People’s Award
Important dates:
Entry deadline: 31st March
In-person judging days: 16th & 17th May
Public voting for The Press People's Choice Award and Young Person's Award: 11th to 19th June.
Awards evening: Monday 4th July 2022
