The Young Arbitrators Match (YAM) is an innovative international arbitration competition inviting participants to draft an arbitral award based on a set of facts and submissions exchanged between two parties in dispute.
YAM is open only to young arbitration practitioners and does not involve the drafting of written submissions or oral advocacy. Instead, the participants must decide the dispute and deliver a reasoned arbitral award, in similar conditions to a real life arbitration.
For its first edition YAM attracted over 110 participants from 37 nationalities and caught the attention of the arbitral community as a whole, as illustrated by the fact that the YAM was voted Best Innovation of the year in the 2013 GAR Awards.
