Young China Circle (YCC) is a platform that aims to facilitate the China debate for students and young professionals by exchanging views and understandings on current socio-political developments. This is achieved through meetups, workshops and other engaging activities. The vision for 2023/2024 is to form a diverse and sustainable community that continues the China debate, exchanges experience, creates personal connections, and opens up new opportunities.
The organisation was initiated by the consultancy firms China Circle and Krijger & Partners in 2019. The main motivation was the China College Tour which uncovered the need for sustainable dialogue on topics such as core values, economic engagement, technological innovation, ecological limits, information security, and cultural exchange. China Circle still serves as the YCC’s principal supporting organisation today.
