Young Energy Disputes Arbitration Center (“Young EDAC”) is the young arbitration group of Energy Disputes Arbitration Center (“EDAC”). Young EDAC is an international platform where young arbitration practitioners under the age of 40 can join to improve their understanding of arbitration and the legal practice, meet fellow arbitration practitioners/enthusiasts, and build and become part of an international community of individuals interested in energy related disputes. While being established in Ankara, Türkiye in 2021; Young EDAC focuses on extending its reach globally in order to support the cooperation among the young arbitration practitioners from around the world.
Topics related to energy are at the core of Young EDAC’s activities (webinars, workshops, conferences etc.) but other hot topics from the arbitration world are also on the agenda. The Young EDAC Mentorship Program is the jewel of Young EDAC. The Program, which is organized biannually, provides the young lawyers, who wish to specialize in arbitration, with the unique opportunity to learn from the experiences of the mentors, who are experts in international arbitration. Proudly, Young EDAC also organizes and holds events during Istanbul Arbitration Week (“ISTAW”).
Young EDAC consists of the following regional sub-committees: Türkiye, Europe, Africa, Americas, Asia.
