The core mission of Young Ocean Innovators is to establish a leading ocean ambassador program for young people in the city of Melbourne.
We aim to equip the next generation of ocean leaders with the skills and knowledge to advocate, innovate for and conserve Port Phillip Bay.
How we will do it:
1. Pilot Young Ocean Innovators Program commencing in March 2024.
High school students grapple with big ocean problems and explore potential of the ocean in the face of climate change for the 6 week extra curricular program.
Students will be immersed in an array of interactive workshops and field trips around Port Phillip Bay, lead by experts from organisations such as as the Nature Conservancy, Coastcare Victoria, Remember the Wild, Birdlife Australia, Farmwall, Museums Victoria etc.
