Mission— We promote the health and wellness of young people using engagement in the meaningful activities that occupy their lives. Vision— We believe we make the world a better place, one child and their support system at a time, through the use of meaningful activities, respect for the child as a whole person, and careful consideration of how interventions can impact a child and their family. Values— Safety We assess an intervention’s physical and emotional safety for the child and family before implementing or providing support. Communication for Connection The ability to have any healthy, growing, and established relationship depends first on efficient, frequent, and clear communication for well-rooted connection. We use honest, focused, and appropriate communication with young people, teachers, family, programs, and each other within the Young & Well organization in order to maintain healthy relationships. Trust & Integrity Communication ensures trust and transparency which are critical to integrity and always doing the right thing, ethically and legally. Active Listening We listen to understand and not to wait for our turn to speak so that we can understand one another to provide the most effective and transformational services to young people, their families, their schools and our greater society. Leadership We use leadership development and education to achieve our organizational and professional goals in order to maintain our growth-minded culture and emphasis on communication. Our leadership methods and models are employed to empower parents, caregivers, and teachers to lead children with respect and boundaries.
