YoungShip Bergen

YoungShip Bergen is a competence and network-building non-profit organisation for young professional maritime employees in the Bergen area of Norway. We are more than 200 members from over 70 different companies within the maritime industry. YoungShip was founded in Bergen in 2004. The Bergen branch is highly active and have for over a decade been fortunate enough to host several social and educational events and seminars. Our aim is to provide a platform for sharing knowledge and gaining competence, build a social and professional networking platform for our members, and promote young professionals within the global maritime industry. We have a particular focus on developing the young generations’ knowledge and interest for the local maritime cluster, including the important developments within the wider international shipping community. We welcome anyone under the age of 35 working in relevant companies or organizations to join us. Our activities are primarily financed through a yearly membership fee, general support from collaborating businesses and organisations and sponsorship from businesses participating in each event.
