Youth Policy Advocates' Policy Corner

Through our work, we aim to disrupt the policy space by shifting the narrative that only a few key players participate in policy-making. We want to expand the traditional ideas around “policy” and challenge who gets to be a part of it, who has power and opportunities to be at the decision-making table, and who gets to take on the role as decision-makers. Policy is a broad topic that is not defined in this organization; instead we invite youth to engage as they feel is appropriate. We are creating a platform that - Provides youth with opportunities to make meaningful contributions to the policy space; - Represents a diversity of voices, perspectives, and lived experiences on policy issues; and - Supports youth in advancing local and global goals and conversations. We invite youth - Aged 18-35 based in Canada; - With diverse learning styles and educational backgrounds; - From historically marginalized communities and; - Interested in sharing their ideas and contributing to advocacy and policy processes to address challenges at sub-national, national or international levels.
