Yerevan State Theatre and Film Institute YSTFI

The Yerevan State Theatre and Film Institute (YSTFI) is a state higher education institution based in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Established in 1944, YSTFI currently is a prominent institution focused on performing and visual arts education. The Institute has 2 branches located in Gyumri and Vanadzor with more than 800 students. YSTFI comprises three faculties offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies in 12 courses. YSTFI actively collaborates with various arts institutions and individual artists in visual and performing arts, facilitating master classes and professional trainings. Both students and professors from the institute actively participate in local and international festivals, competitions, conferences, and training programs. YSTFI has international cooperation with different HEIs and international centers worldwide and has partnerships with more than 35 international arts institutions. Notably, in 2014, the institute joined the UNESCO Network for Performing Arts and organized the UNESCO International Conference. Additionally, the institute publishes a scholarly research digest named Handes.
