Understanding the importance of research, innovation, and technology to meet the province developing goals led to the establishment of a science park in the region. In this regard, the project has been seriously taken into account by the top managers of the province. The Higher Education Development Council approved establishing Yazd Science and Technology Park in 2001 in the specified fields such as Information Technology, Biotechnology, Textile and New Energy. Promoting regional, scientific and economic development through the creation and support of knowledge- based enterprises, and completing the idea to product chain are some of its goals. Appealing environment, exceptional, convenient location of Eqbal techno center and features of the city are our strong points to attract specialists, graduate students and SMEs.
