Yugo Technology’s platform is a new and efficient software application used to better the nightlife experience. The platform is able to determine the authenticity of IDs with 99.7% accuracy in a matter of seconds and provide users with an efficient form of identification. Yugo Technology aims to provide their service to the establishments of Nantucket. ID Verification is a huge problem for establishments that are required to accurately verify a consumer's age. This is due to fake IDs becoming increasingly more prevalent and harder to detect and the need for physical IDs to serve alcohol. The ease with which minors are now able to enter establishments provides large compliance issues for nightlife establishments. Establishments are constantly under high risk of being threatened by large fines, license suspension and even license revocation. This is a growing issue with current verification solutions becoming outdated and inaccurate. Current methods of ID Verification include clunky barcode scanning machines, which operate with under 30% accuracy, and human verification which is heavily biased and dependent on bouncers. Yugo aims to offer an application suitable for all of Nantucket’s alcohol sale and nightlife admittance. This offering will also create consumer convenience with a “one size fits all” ID applicable to all of the establishments signed up through Yugo.
