Yuyo is a dynamic, vibrant and award-winning young drinks brand founded by a couple, Spanish translator Rosie Marteau & PhD biochemist Charles Grummitt, after an inspirational trip travelling in Latin America. We offer a range of energising infusions inspired by the continent’s yerba mate drinking culture, as well as calming caffeine-free infusions of other botanicals.
Yuyo is the first company to bring yerba mate to the mainstream hot drinks category in Europe, and is set apart by its premium, organic ingredients and astoundingly vibrant and unique packaging. This attractive branding resulted from the company winning The Seed Fund, a prestigious design and marketing award for UK food and drink start ups worth £100,000.
The whole range of six Yuyo blends is certified organic by the Soil Association. Four are yerba mate-based, for energy and stimulation, and two are rooibos-based, for a more relaxing effect. They are available in retail packs of 14 infusion bags, as well as formats suitable for cafés and food service customers. All products are blended and packed in the UK in BRC A-grade facilities. Yuyo is also developing new product lines with yerba mate, to take into other drinks categories.
