zambesi mission exists to tell others the good news about Jesus and help extend and strengthen His church in Malawi, northern Mozambique and the UK.   zm is an “enabling” organisation, not a “doing” one. This means that we work through partnership with national evangelical churches and organisations in Malawi and northern Mozambique. zm supports our Malawian and Mozambican partners as they do the work of the church: evangelism, discipleship, churchplanting, community care and development. They are the ones who make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey everything that Jesus commanded us (Matthew 28: 19-20). Two of zm’s partners in Malawi and Mozambique are national church denominations:   The Zambezi Evangelical Church (ZEC) The River of Life Evangelical Church zm also partners with the Evangelical Bible College of Malawi (EBCoM) to train pastors and evangelists. We also focus on leadership training through our partnership with J-Life Ministries - Malawi; and on reaching Malawi’s children with the gospel, through our support for partner Children for Christ Ministry (CFCM). Another feature of zm’s work is that we believe that we have an important role in ministering to and encouraging individuals and supporting churches in the UK. As equally important parts of the body of Christ, we would argue that we need the church in Malawi and Mozambique just as much as they need us. Hearing news from our brothers and sisters in Christ in Africa can bring great encouragement to churches in our country.
