Working on the Homes for Ukraine Project

• Formulate Covid-19 response framework and implementation thereof.• Plan and implement a food security strategy for our approx. 1000 staff and orphan and vulnerable children• Provide psycho-social support in the form of counselling to adults, orphan and vulnerable children, adolescents and young adults. • Provide psycho-social support in the form of counselling to staff members of the ministry.• Design and implement a mentorship program for grade 7 pupils to facilitate a smooth transition into high school.• Provide direction and support to the Men’s Ministry.• Support and mentor the leadership of the senior youth program.• Reason for leaving – Emigration to the UK.

• Project proposal, planning, recruitment and implementation.• Liaison with funder (UNHCR).• Community stakeholder liaison – including governmental departments, community leaders and faith leaders.• Management, training and mentorship of staff in three locations (Durban, Johannesburg and Pretoria).• Project administration including budgetary preparation, implementation and oversight• Work in conjunction with the M & E department in ensuring efficient quantitative and qualitative results were obtained and reported.• Report writing including narrative (qualitative report).• Crisis management and intervention.• The identification of overlooked and vulnerable people groupings in order to assist them with psycho-social support and access to services.• Ensuring of gender and multi-faith representation across all project interventions.• Oversight of long and short term volunteers.• Oversight of annual multi-cultural three day celebration of music, dance, art and cuisine.

• Establish and equip a textile training centre and factory at a village for orphan and vulnerable children.• Identify and interview potential candidates from disadvantaged communities.• Assist with Life Skills training of candidates.• Manage daily operations of centre and factory including discipleship, budgeting and purchasing.Reason for leaving - Contract position.
