ЗаВръщане в България (Back to Bulgaria) is a platform and community for people who believe there’s real purpose in building a life and bringing ideas to life in Bulgaria. Founded by two sisters, Katherina and Anna-Maria Andreeva, who were born in the U.S. and have lived around the world, from America to Western Europe. ЗаВръщане в България is a non-governmental organization with a clear mission: To make returning to and making an impact in Bulgaria easier. We try to inspire Bulgarians everywhere to see the immense potential of building their future in Bulgaria. Our goal is to support more people in creating, contributing, and shaping the development of Bulgarian society. We are not convincing people to move to Bulgaria, but supporting those who are already curious or have made the choice. We believe in working together, being open and curious, building trust, taking action, and caring about others. Creativity, balanced empathy, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. We are working to: Simplify the return: We provide clear, accessible information to help Bulgarians around the world navigate the return process from paperwork to reintegration. Connect people with meaning: We link returnees with opportunities, inspiring individuals, and changemakers working across fields. Go beyond Sofia: We support returnees in cities across Bulgaria, large and small, and in sectors ranging from entrepreneurship to tech and culture to education and agriculture and more. Bridge worlds: We create connections between Bulgarians abroad and those in Bulgaria, so we can build together, learn from each other, and grow stronger as a community. We believe many Bulgarians return not just for themselves but because they want to give more than they take. They want to create, contribute, and help shape a better future for all.
