Not another axial flux motor. Not another wheel/hub/donut motor. No new materials or manufacturing processes. Zee Motor is a totally new and innovative concept to increase power and torque density and efficiency of electrical machines while reducing torque -to-cost. Primarily targeted towards electric mobility but is a natural choice for space and weight sensitive applications. There is no increase in the complexity beyond what is currently being used in electric vehicles from the world's most trusted commercial vehicle brands. The concept is intuitive and the explanation and analysis of the power and torque density and efficiency increase is straightforward.
The technology is currently at the stage of optimizing and benchmarking the control algorithm (the groundbreaking motor technology requires a more complicated control algorithm), optimizing the design, and increasing the depth and clarity of the analysis. There are no textbooks or papers for reference, we have to write our own reference on this concept.
We have surveyed most emergent motor technologies that claim to be "next generation" and/or "groundbreaking" and are confident that we have the most commercially viable and lowest risk solution to increased efficiency and power-to-weight and power-to-cost ratios.
