ZeoDAC is utilizing zeolite and molecular sieve materials that have established supply chains because of their use in other industries, and enabling them for use in the fight against climate change. Our proprietary adsorption process utilizes a unique combination of molecular sieves that can remove CO2 directly from air. Deploying these solid adsorbents for direct air capture provides opportunities for a lower cost, more scalable, more stable, and more environmentally benign solution than other approaches.
Expertise from two world renowned academic groups combined to start ZeoDAC. Professor Christopher Jones (Georgia Tech), who is a leading expert in direct air capture, and Professor Mark E. Davis (Caltech), who is a leading expert in zeolites, founded ZeoDAC 2023. ZeoDAC is part of the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) based in Atlanta, GA.
