Zväz elektrotechnického priemyslu Slovenskej republiky (ZEP SR) vznikol v roku 1991 ako profesné združenie pôsobiace v oblasti elektrotechniky a elektroniky, informačných a komunikačných technológií. V súčasnosti zväz združuje takmer 100 spoločností s orientáciou na elektrotechnickú výrobu. ZEP SR združuje nielen výrobcov elektrotechnickej a elektronickej produkcie, ale tiež spoločnosti pôsobiace v oblasti nakladania s elektro-odpadmi, distribútorov elektro-materiálu, konštrukčné kancelárie, stredné odborné, vysoké školy a výskumné ústavy.
Zväz vstupuje do rokovaní s organizáciami štátnej správy a zahraničnými partnermi, venuje sa zamestnávateľským a sociálnym otázkam s dôrazom na spoločné záujmy svojich členov. Prostredníctvom vyššej zamestnávateľskej organizácie - Asociácie priemyselných zväzov, sa ZEP SR stal členom Hospodárskej a sociálnej rady SR.

The Association of Electrotechnical Industry of the Slovak Republic (ZEP SR) was established in 1991 as a professional association engaged in the field of electrical engineering and electronics, information and communication technology. Association - currently numbering more than 70 companies on electro –technical production oriented. Our membership has 17 secondary training institutions and technical universities. ZEP SR unifies not only manufacturers of electrotechnical and electronic products, but also waste disposal systems, distributors of electro-material, design offices of electro-installations, secondary technical schools, universities and research institutes.
The Association acts as negotiation partner of the state administration and foreign counterparts, deals with employers´ and social matters with an emphasis on promotion common interests of its members. Through a higher employers' organization - the Association of Industrial Unions, ZEP SR became a member of the Economic and Social Council of the Slovak Republic.
