Shropshire Climate Action

Shropshire Climate Action (formerly Zero Carbon Shropshire and Sounth Shropshire Climate Action) has been set up in response to the global climate emergency. It is supported by Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Councils, as well as local colleges and universities, business networks, charities, NGOs and community organisations. Human development since the industrial revolution has led to increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, causing rapid increase in global temperatures and climate change that threatens future life on earth. There are solutions and most of the technologies needed are already available. What is currently lacking is a coherent practical plan and coordinated action to achieve the 10% per annum average reduction required from 2019 emissions to reach net zero by 2030.
