The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) aims to: -To be recognized as the icon of innovative, leading-edge clinical and translational research in South Asia -Link research activities through basic science research coordination, publication, and grant -The department facilitates research that enhances the knowledge-building environment at Ziauddin University -Ensure that the quality of research reflects the highest international standards and advancing academic research and develop the university’s reputation as the most renowned private research university. The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) seeks to enhance the research culture at Ziauddin University and realize the above-mentioned objectives by: -Supporting the university’s strategic research directions and policies -Leading edge clinical and translational research- bringing medical innovation to patients -Residents and fellows' independent research projects -Exploration of Nanotechnology's potential -Ensuring that research meets the highest ethical and quality standards through open transparent processes -Increasing and diversifying external research funding -Improving recruitment and retention of top faculty members Improving the translation of research into the public benefit -Strengthening university-industry relationships -Promoting entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and commercialization activities that energize and support the local and national economy -Promoting and enhancing cross-cutting and multi-disciplinary research initiatives
