Supported by CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, the ZIMBA project unites five partners from four European countries to revolutionise industrial heating. Using an Absorption Heat Transformer (AHT) with ammonia/water refrigerant, ZIMBA aims to deliver efficient industrial heat production at 110°C, scaling up to 130°C. Enhanced with an ejector, this system adapts to various industrial needs, offering a sustainable solution to reduce carbon footprints. Launched on December 1st, 2024, ZIMBA will run for 4 years, driving innovation toward a cleaner, more efficient industrial sector.
