ZiM is a student-run zero-interest microfinance organization with a presence around the world. It is imperative that micro-entrepreneurs further develop their finance and business skills prior to and during the microfinance loan process. To ensure this happens, members of the ZiM community identify seasoned social enterprises around the world that are empowering new and existing micro-entrepreneurs. Through these dynamic partnerships, ZiM loans are directly accompanied by financial education and business training for the micro-entrepreneurs, as this has been shown to better break the poverty cycle. ZiM members take on innovative side-hustle ideas in order to generate revenues for zero-interest loans. We care about being men and women for others, gratefully collaborating with others who share our values for the good of humanity. On the basis of empathy and humility, ZiM members embrace disruptive technologies that uplift people. We thoughtfully explore and experiment with mobile technology, blockchain, and virtual currency that will further advance and empower micro-entrepreneurs. Our knowledge and resources are shared with others so that they may practice zero interest microfinance within their communities and beyond.
