ZNK+ coating technology is based on mechanically applying a multi-metal zinc-rich powder mix to the surface of steel parts, including parts with recesses and complex features. Proprietary powders are combined with proprietary plating chemistry to generate relatively thin, dense layers compared with traditional mechanical zinc plating. The resulting surfaces are dense with very low porosity, and partially diffused into the steel substrate. The further application of sealers and primers ensure a high level of both galvanic and barrier protection, and relatively resistant to abrasion during subsequent installation and use.
