Zoo Normal was founded by David Watkins, a hospitality executive with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He has been the General Manager of the Inn at the Market and The Sound Hotel (Seattle), and the Hotel Manager of the Sir Francis Drake Hotel (San Francisco).
David was part of the Income and Equality Task Force that led to the $15 minimum wage in Seattle, and serves on the board of the Seattle Academy of Hospitality and Finance.
