Zuckerman for VT

David Zuckerman is the current Lt. Governor of Vermont and a co-founder of Full Moon Farm, a NOFA-certified organic farm in Hinesburg, Vermont. He was first inspired to run for office 26 years ago by then-Congressman Bernie Sanders. David began his run in January of 2020 because of the urgency but lack of action on climate change and the economic struggles of Vermonters. Through the years David has listened to many Vermonters as they have shared their struggles and he has observed well-intentioned leaders trying to find solutions. But these last three years we have not seen the vision or action that Vermonters need. The coronavirus pandemic has only amplified this reality and has made it even more evident that Vermont needs a proactive leader that will put Vermont’s people, their safety, and their future first. David is running because Vermonters need an economy with jobs that pay enough for workers to support themselves and their families. He is running because it is imperative that Vermonters listen to youth and commit ourselves to fighting the climate crisis in a way that builds economic opportunity and ensures a healthy future for all. He is running because health care access desperately must be expanded while bringing costs under control especially as the coronavirus has laid bare so many deficiencies in our system. He is running because, now more than ever, Vermonters need more affordable housing. He is running because Vermont college and training school students should be able to access free in-state tuition. Finally, he is running because it is important that we ensure all Vermonters are welcome. Those who are indigenous, those who were born here, and those who have chosen to be here, will all be part of our vibrant and inclusive future in Vermont.
