The Asian American Resource Center (AARC) opened its doors in 1997, when Reverend Dr. Henry Lee recognized a dire need for social and educational services among the Asian American immigrant populations in Georgia. Since then, the nonprofit has grown to provide a multitude of services to a larger population, including housing assistance and life skills training for the homeless as well as English/GED courses for immigrants, among other services.
