Founded in tribute to Phil Chambers (1953-2023) - a pioneering independent heritage consultant and accessibility expert, who championed inclusion for three decades across hundreds of projects in partnership with major heritage organisations, including the Heritage Lottery Fund, Historic England, The Canal & River Trust, and The Landmark Trust. Phil was formerly a director of the Fieldfare Trust, member of the UK Design Council, specialist contributor on BBC Radio Sheffield and national TV programmes, as well as co-author of the oft-cited ‘Countryside for All Good Practice Guide’.
