AMhengtong Africa Telecoms Pty Ltd (AMHT) was founded on the May 2019, is a joint venture between Alcon Marepha and Hengtong Opti Electric.
Alcon Marepha is a 100% black female, youth-owned, Level 1 BBBEE contributor, and is established as a manufacturer and supplier of Overhead Aluminium conductor in South Africa and abroad. Hengtong is the
largest producer of optical fibre in China and ranked as one of the top 3 optical fibre cable and accessory producers in the world. Listed on two stock exchanges in China, Hengtong has several investments in South
Africa including that of AMHengtong Africa Telecoms PTY LTD (AMHT).
