Annuities are a HOT financial product that can pay large commissions π₯
Because of this, they are often oversold, misrepresented, and under-explained β
And 80% of them are absolute garbage ποΈ
However, I LOVE annuities, because they have the potential to help so many do the following:
- spend more in retirement without anxiety ποΈ
- reduce risk in a portfolio without significantly dampening the reward π°
- provide non-invasive ways to leave a leveraged inheritance π©βοΈ
The problem is, there is a lot of noise around annuities because:
- insurance companies and marketing organizations push big bonuses and 200% returns without explaining the pros and cons π
- Investment managers don't want to recommend them because it lowers their annual fees π€·
- unqualified salespeople want to gloss over the facts and caveats to make a nice commission πΈ
Here's where I come in πβοΈ
I help two kinds of people:
1. Folks that have annuities already that are unhappy with the product or its performance because it may have been misrepresented to them... or they are just in a bad product π
2. Folks interested in annuities that want to make their decision right the first time β
Here's my process in my 2-appointment free consultation series:
1. I educate you on what an example of a good annuity will do and we determine if it meets your objectives.
2. If applicable, I'll go through your old annuities and do an analysis on whether they are good or bad. I will go in the weeds as much or as little as you want.
3. I will only recommend changes if I can prove on paper that they will create a significant financial improvement to you.
4. Optional: I will build the annuities into a full financial plan to see how they impact your overall financial picture, for a fee. I am a fiduciary on the investment side so I may offer additional advice at this time, which if accepted may result in additional fees.
