BKT Pay is the first EMI to be licensed in 2023 in Albania according to the new regulation on licensing of EMIs no 59/2022. BKT Pay is subsidiary of BKT and as such benefits from the synergy created with the largest bank in Albania.
The financial mobile application which is a mobile wallet designed and soon to be delivered by BKT Pay is called ‘’epara’’. epara offers a free mobile application for the financial needs of young people such as: adding, keeping and withdrawing cash from epara wallet, money transfers, payments for utilities, payments in shops wherever QR POS is available, EUR-LEK transactions etc. epara digitally onboards users from 18 years of age and above, targeting especially the unbanked and underbanked segments of the population.
epara app has become available to the public in early 2024.
