Funded by the European Union, the CALECHE project will boost the renovation of historic buildings to enhance vibrant, open, accessible, resilient and low-emission cities and cultural heritage, inclusive for everyone and sustainable for generations to come.
CALECHE aims to develop a decision support system to unlock the full potential of the renovation of historic and heritage buildings. A set of tools will be delivered to help stakeholders reach a common understanding of what is appropriate for each building, taking into account their specific context.
The scope of such system will cover onsite-initial evaluations, choice of solutions and material, carbon and financial savings, monitoring and stakeholder engagement. In addition, CALECHE will bring breakthrough innovation in products and
techniques for the energy renovation of historic buildings :
