The Department of Chemical Engineering was established in 1963 with an undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering. Over the years, the department has supported the local chemical industries. In addition to the large number of sponsored research and industrial consultancy projects, the department runs a center of excellence (CoE) sponsored by the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.
