I’ve worked on national scale healthcare programmes of work - multiple times. I deeply enjoyed my time working amongst it all on the No 1. market leading primary care information system - supplied by the NHS’s biggest, probably, information system supplier.
Most recently, I got stuck into digital delivery, as a consultant, “parachuted in” to the NHS as a response to the national emergency. Standing on the shoulders of the giants who initially set it all up - I helped to continue the NHS’s digital response to the COVID pandemic. Problem-solving and ‘delivery managing’ the flow of data from ‘jabs-in-arms’ to ‘national immunity monitoring’ services, and to ‘at-rest’ in every citizen's medical record.
I’ve worked on a globally-deployed interbank foreign exchange dealing room trading system, the No.1 system connecting all the world’s banks in the currency markets - to later return to this, and prove its renewal and performance as a highly available, high-throughput, low latency “trading host” - as it grew into an automated matching system driving multi-trillion dollar trading days.
I have returned to through-put time and time again; seeking low-latency and managing through-put are a running theme in my career; And I know team-work, and people are everything. It's all teams. It's all stakeholders. Value flow!
