Corridor latina coalition email format

The Corridor Latina Coalition (CLC) is the first chapter under our national movement, also created by us: The Latinx movement. The main goal of The Latinx Movement is to politically mobilize Latinx communities in places where the Latinx population is excluded from initiatives of aiding communities, despite having a vast majority of the population. The Corridor Latina Coalition is an organization that will celebrate, empower, and protect Latinas living in Cancer Alley, Louisiana. Every year we will run internships intertwined with an ambassador program. Through these projects, we will celebrate and vocalize Latina testimonies incorporated in our educational program. We will plan and finalize solutions to protect Latinas and inform them of the dangerous chemicals corporations like Shell allow to invade the health of Latinas. Our goal is to train Latinas to be the solution, to build a community, and highlight the voices and lives of Latinas living in Cancer Alley. If not already evident, our focus is the Latina community living in Cancer Alley which includes the parishes that make up the deadly zone. Our vision is to unite as many Latinas and utilize our collective power to create a change in the health of our population. We will create community town halls, host monthly meetings, and increase social networks and presence in the community. The coalition will provide resources and training to Latinas on policy, political and direct action. Since there is no Cancer Alley organization focused on assisting Latinas and their health, in all of the eighty-five miles that Cancer Alley encompasses, the CLC will stand as an active organization to bring awareness to the health determinants Latinas face. Long-term, our solution consists of providing political training for our team. The effect we hope to create is an increase in the number of Latinas running for office.
