History
D-Congress was first organized in 2015 by Svensk Digital Handel and Svensk Handel at Svenska Mässan in Gothenburg, but it has a history that dates back to 1973 when the Mail Order Association, an interest organization for distance trade in Sweden, was formed and organized annual meetings in Borås, including the Distance Trade Day.
Between the years 2008-2022, D-Congress and its predecessor in Borås were owned by Svensk Handel's wholly-owned subsidiary Svensk Digital Handel AB. On January 1, 2023, Svensk Digital Handel was merged with the parent company Svensk Handel, which continues to organize D-Congress.
