And because sustainability is the only way forward the package is fully recyclable. Our History Elmhurst was founded in 2017, but the company's roots date back to 1925. Originally Elmhurst Dairy in Queens, the multi-generational dairy was the largest in New York State for nearly a century. After a meeting with plant nutrition pioneer Dr. Cheryl Mitchell, Henry made a progressive pivot - closing the family dairy to focus on clean label plant-based alternatives with more nutrition as Elmhurst 1925. “After 92 years in business, it was time to embrace a new model and look towards to the future.
