Mineral fertilizers are expensive in a volatile market. +50% of the mineral fertilizers don't get absrobed by plants which makes them cost-ineffective and they also pollute the environment. Producing those fertilisers also pumps out about 1 % of global CO₂.
Our solution
Enthela replaces part of the mineral fertilizer (NP) with a bio-based fertiliser made from naturally occurring, nitrogen-fixing bacteria. Our micro-encapsulation keeps the microbes alive 5× longer and delivers +42 % nitrogen compared with uncoated strains.
On-farm impact
• Save up to 30 kg synthetic N per hectare and up to 20kg Phosphorus
• 30 % yield lift in early vegetable trials
• Zero nitrate run-off and lower greenhouse-gas emissions
Where we are now
• Lab proof-of-concept achieved (Nov ’24)
• Field trials under way with Sofia University & Early adopters
• Commercial scale in March 2026
