EPICS is a service-learning design program in which teams of students partner with local and global community organizations to address human, community, and environmental needs. Our two community partners are the following:
Wabash Center – Grant’s House
Wabash Center is a comprehensive service provider dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities or special needs. Their mission is to lead the way in enhancing the quality of life for these individuals and their families through a variety of tailored services and programs. Wabash Center’s Youth Services located at Grant's House is a specialized subsection of the Wabash Center, focusing on providing services for children and young adults aged five to twenty-one. This initiative is central to our youth services, offering a safe and nurturing environment where young individuals can receive afterschool care and participate in emerging adults programs.
Art Museum of Greater Lafayette
The Art Museum of Greater Lafayette celebrates the power of art to inspire, instruct, challenge, and build community through its collections, exhibitions, events, and educational programs like ArtSmart.
ArtSmart is an innovative educational tool that integrates artistic and historical perspectives. Originally developed to complement fourth-grade Indiana studies, it has evolved into a valuable resource for classroom instruction and self-guided learning for all ages. This program fosters pride in Indiana's artistic heritage and highlights the significant contributions of Indiana's artists to the state's growth.
