Epsychonline is an online mental health & wellness company providing self-paced structured courses to overcome mental health challenges faced by millions of people all over the world. The company was founded by Dr. Joseph Kekulawala (Fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists) in June 2021 giving due consideration to his many years of experience in treating patients with mental health challenges.
Alternative strategies are required in the US, MENA and other regions to face the increasing mental health challenges, especially amongst the young people. A 2020 study found that 57% of people in the UAE suffered from at least one mental health disorder. In the USA, over 50% of the population suffering from a mental illness did not receive care due to social stigma and non-availability of mental health services. These figures can be expected to be much higher in less developed countries.
Epsychonline is the solution for this lack of mental health professionals as well as the affordability, availability in terms of place/location and the stigma associated with mental health which prevents people with mental health & wellbeing issues from reaching out.
